This beautiful technique - and in its original form on folk textiles very laborious - is among my favorites. It will also elevate your gingerbread (perníčky) to noble pieces because white decoration on a white background looks extraordinarily delicate, clean, light, and luxurious at the same time.
Whether you use it on small or large shapes, on the entire surface of the motif or just on a small part of it, it will always attract attention. By its character, it's also directly predestined for combination with Madeira or various types of lace decoration.

The execution of this technique already requires certain gingerbread-making skill, at least mastering the basic elements of decoration, and also flooding smooth white surfaces, which are the background for the patterns themselves. These surfaces need to be allowed to dry perfectly (so just a dried surface is not enough) so that you can decorate on them well.
An advantage of this decoration is also that it's elegant even in its simplest form.
Inspiration
So if you don't yet dare to try complex flower patterns, start with simple ornaments, perhaps just from dots.
Those of you who are more experienced, let yourself be inspired by real embroideries and try combining white embroidery with other interesting techniques, perhaps with ribbon decoration or Haná decoration.

Tip for you
You'll achieve another very elegantly appearing result if you use transparent icing on the basic surface. The color of the gingerbread (perníčky) shining through will aerate the entire decoration and create the impression of delicate embroidery on tulle.
