Sprinkled decoration is a very effective technique whose magic lies in great variability, in many possibilities of use, and also in the fact that it guarantees success even for beginners. Experienced gingerbread makers, on the other hand, can use it in conjunction with many other techniques that the sprinkling will further highlight.
We flood various sized areas of gingerbread with white icing and, while still wet, sprinkle them with some suitable ingredient that will give your gingerbread (perníčky) a touch of originality.
At this point, space opens for your creativity, because for sprinkling, you can use (besides commonly available classic sugar decorations) less common ingredients that harmonize well with gingerbread and will give each of your gingerbread (perníčky) an original appearance.
Inspiration

My favorite sprinklings, besides coarse crystal or pearl sugar, are especially dried edible flowers, which, depending on their coloration, can be used for spring or autumn motifs, and special fruit tea blends, which with their colors and scents are ideal for Christmas themes.
Depending on the size of the gingerbread (perníčky), I also use smaller types of whole spices, various seeds, chopped nuts, or brittle.

Tip for you
Other advantages of this decoration technique are that it looks good on both large and small shapes, and also that it's relatively quick and therefore you can use it even when you find yourself in a time crunch with decoration.
I believe that you too will come to love this technique.
