Decorating the Side Walls of the Gingerbread House

Now, let's start decorating. Start with the side walls of the gingerbread house. You have complete freedom here. You can leave them undecorated, use a minimalist design, or, on the contrary, a rich pattern.

Think about what your finished gingerbread house should look like and what kind of atmosphere it should create.

For this lesson, I've chosen a simple decoration that you'll master with ease. You already know all the basic elements, so you can get started without worry. Don't forget that the size of the gingerbread house also plays a role in your choice of style.

Tip for you

For a larger gingerbread house, you can cut out a window or even a door with a small cookie cutter before baking. Then, bake the cut-out door separately and add it during assembly as an "open" door. This will give the gingerbread house originality and a fairytale appearance.
